This is short because there is unusually little to disclose. Parchwell has no accounts, no telemetry and no analytics, and your documents never leave your PC. The only service we operate is the firm seat directory, and only firms use it.
Last updated 9 August 2026. Present tense means shipped behaviour. Anything planned is labelled as planned and is not in force.
We do not collect your personal information, because we never receive it. Parchwell runs entirely on your machine. There is no account to create, no sign-in, no profile, and no server of ours that your documents, your questions or your answers pass through.
That is an architectural fact, not a promise about our intentions — and the security page shows you how to verify it yourself with an outbound firewall.
There is no cookie banner on this site because there are no cookies and no third-party requests to consent to. This website loads its own fonts and nothing else.
Two things, both of which you initiate. The standard chat model and the embeddings model ship inside the installer and are verified against a manifest compiled into the app before either is ever used, on every fresh launch, so they never touch the network. This mirrors the complete egress inventory on the security page, which is the authoritative version and is kept in step with the shipped code.
| What | When | What is transmitted |
|---|---|---|
| Optional Deep model download | Only if you turn on the Deep answer style — the standard model already in the installer never downloads anything | A request to huggingface.co for the Deep model file, pinned to an exact version and verified against its SHA-256 fingerprint before use. Nothing about you or your documents is attached. |
| Crash report, sent by you | Only after a crash, and only after you read the report and choose to email it | A description of the crash with file names and paths removed. The app transmits nothing itself — it opens the report in your mail client and you press send, or discard it. |
A network monitor attached to the app at any other moment observes no outbound traffic.
When you write to support@parchwell.com or privacy@parchwell.com, we have your email address and whatever you chose to put in the message, for as long as we keep the correspondence. That is ordinary email, and it is the only routine way we hold anything about you at all.
Please do not send us client documents. We do not need them to help you, and we would rather not hold them.
No. Nothing is transmitted to train anything. The AI model runs on your machine and does not learn from your documents, does not send them anywhere, and does not retain them beyond the index that lives on your own disk under your own encryption key.
Privacy law generally gives you the right to access, correct, export or delete personal information a company holds about you. In Parchwell's case the honest answer is that we hold none, so there is nothing for us to produce or erase — and the data itself is already entirely in your hands.
None in the shipped product. No hosting provider, no analytics vendor, no error tracker, no CRM holds anything of yours, because nothing of yours is transmitted.
None of the following exists in the product today. Each will require your explicit action, and each will move into the inventory above only when it ships — never before.
Being straight with you: Parchwell is in development and not yet for sale. This page will change as those features ship — on the day they ship, and not before.
